Here at Ken Garff Ford, our customers are very important. We want you to be able to get easy car maintenance tasks accomplished to keep your vehicle in very good condition. This video will demonstrate how to check your oil levels to keep your engine running smoothly.

Checking your oil is a simple task. Open your hood and look for the oil dipstick. This may be in a variety of places, it all depends on the make of your car. If you aren't sure where it is, you can check your car's user manual. Once you've found it, pull out the dipstick. Using a paper towel, wipe off the oil. It is easy to do this at a gas station, as they usually have paper towels readily available for you to use. Then, put the dipstick all the way into your vehicle, then take it out again. Take a look at the etchings at the bottom of the dipstick. This will tell you how much oil is currently in your engine. Do you need an oil change?  It's possible to do this at home, and our video about how to change your oil will help.

This is a simple task that many people like to do while they're filling up their gas tank. It can alert you to potential problems before they happen. Continue watching our series of videos to learn more tips on auto maintenance.
